1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to keep and to send back on later visits. They are often used to keep you signed in, to remember preferences, or to track what you do across pages and across websites.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies; those set by other companies whose content is embedded in the page are third-party cookies. Session cookies disappear when you close the browser, while persistent cookies remain for a set period or until you delete them.
Local storage is a similar feature of your browser. A website can save small pieces of information on your device and read them again later. Unlike cookies, local storage is not sent to the website’s server with every request; it stays in your browser unless a script on the page reads it.

The entry contains only open or closed values for three footer sections, for example {"legal":true}. It holds no identifier, it is never sent to our server or to anyone else, and it cannot be used to recognise you. If you never tap a footer heading on a phone, nothing is stored at all.
4. No third-party cookies
The website loads nothing from other companies: fonts and images are served from our own hosting, and there are no embedded maps, videos, social media buttons or analytics scripts. The site’s Content Security Policy blocks connections to third parties, so no other company can set cookies through our pages.
If you follow a link to another website, such as Hjelpelinjen, that website may use its own cookies under its own policy.
5. Why there is no cookie banner
The rules on storing information on your device come from the EU ePrivacy Directive, which applies in Norway through the Electronic Communications Act (ekomloven). Consent is not required for storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly asked for. Remembering the state of the footer after you tap it falls into that category.
Because the site sets no cookies and uses no other storage, there is nothing to ask your consent for, so the site does not show a cookie banner.
6. How to manage storage in your browser
You can view and delete this site’s data at any time. Clearing it simply resets the footer; nothing else changes.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites. Search for nobelsville-lawyer.com and delete its data.

7. If this ever changes
If analytics or any other non-essential storage is ever added to this website, we will first ask for your consent through a banner, update this policy, and change the site’s Content Security Policy, which currently blocks such tools. Nothing will be added quietly.
